Yesterday we drove about an hour to Erin New York where we got our new rabbit. After a few mishaps with directions, we arrived at a cute, remote log cabin. When we knocked on the door, the rabbit owners greeted us with a handshake and then their dogs greeted us, with plenty of slobbery kisses. They took us to their barn where they kept all the rabbits. When I first saw all the rabbits, I was so shocked by how beautiful they were. And they were maintained very well. They showed us Nick, a beautiful big bunny boy. He seemed a lot bigger than the bunny I have now, and I came to find out that the first bunny is a mini lop, not a Holland Lop. Hopefully this won't interfere with the breeding process. They showed us how to check the bunnies for health problems and then Nick was mine.
